I realized he is 26 months old and I have not documented some really sweet and not so sweet things....
Let's see if I can come up with 26....Feel free to skip down to the pictures, most of this is so i can remember.
1. He says please and thank you to everything...he uses these properly but sometimes it is overkill. We were out to dinner last night and he told every person in the restaurant thank you..many times.
2. He remembers everything, forget telling him we "might" go somewhere. I mentioned a haircut..he talked about it for a few days until we actually went.
3. He is intrigued by babies, as long as they do not come home with us.
4. He loves to "dress" himself
5. Talks about "ho, ho" just about every day...
6. Still has a fruit obsession
7. Can almost say his name properly
8. Insists that our dogs are his and if he does not feed them or put them in their cages there are many tears. We have a glass treat jar that he can hear on the second floor. What hearing loss???
9. Says he will share but refuses, he cried for 15 solid mins. when I took an orange off his plate and ate it.
10. He LOVES to go to family swim at the YMCA, talks about it all the time.
11. Has been asking to go to the beach with "Mama, Daddy, airplane" yeah, I wish!
12. Thinks it is great fun to rub/dump food into his hair...we try to to react but it is getting old.
13. Thom*s the Train is his new obsession, he wants to read the books constantly, I made the mistake of putting in an audio book for him to follow along in the car. We had to bring it in and listen to it 5 times during lunch..trust me I know all I need to about Henry.
14. Running is so much fun, it is so cute how he waves his little arms around.
15. He is getting thin, bye bye chubby baby legs and arms.
16. Loves animals and it still shocked that they too have eyes and ears...he will SCREAM at the zoo or at people's homes...CAT EYES, TWO EYES!!! PIGS, EARS!!!
17. Told me to stop the car for ducks...did he think we could bring them home??
18. He is so concerned about others' eating, "Mama, sit eat" or at lunch time "Daddy eat??"
19. He will make all attempts to steal liquid soap to make bubbles int he sink or tubs.
20. He has been getting his 2 year old molars for way too long, every day I hear about "owie mouth"
21. I cannot get over how much he has changed in one year.
22. He despises shopping...unless we are looking at choo choos
23. He is still in his crib and it is working just fine, I think he is ready to move but if there is no reason...
24. He likes "dip" with everything, this could be ketchup, salsa, syrup...no meal is complete without dip.
25. He has figured out my name, if I do not respond to Mama, he starts yelling for Jackie....
26. He will say "love" after you tuck him in for nap or bedtime, it is so sweet.

UPDATES
Remember I said we were waiting 4-6 months before we could submit our formal application/paper work to Korea? Well that ended up being one month! This past month has been filled with what one calls a paperchase...I know, most people think how could it take months to complete paperwork...here's a small sample:
written biographies, physicals, tax documents, financial statements, criminal background checks (P got to visit the county jail with both of us!), TB tests (poor P...said "doctor owie arm"), references, employment verification,a home visit, adoption education....
As of today, our homestudy is being written by our local Social Worker, we and our agency in Michigan will edit and then it will be off to Korea.
I know, hurry up and get it done so we can...wait. However, with this wait each day gets us closer to our daughter.
Parker is aware a baby is coming home "someday", he has informed us Daddy will feed, hold, and put the baby to sleep. He said Mama could only give the baby a bath!

Running and other randomness
We had a busy Mother's day weekend, but lots of fun. My parents came in town as my Dad and I were running the Indy 500 mini marathon. I had a goal and missed it my 2 minutes, I am over it already. I am just proud that I have the ability to run 13.1 miles and spouse who supports this (time consuming) habit. My Dad did amazing, he has never run longer than a 5K, I coerced him to sing up and he ran the race in 2:33, not bad. My Mom also walked the 5K, while Jim and Parker waited at the finish for us all.
I trades shifts at work so I would not have to run the race after a 2am shift (yes, I did that last year and Parker had only been home 2 months, yes I may have been delusional). So I ended up working Mother's day afternoon/evening but that was fine. I am trying to save PTO for my next adoption leave.
Here's some pictures from the weekend:
